Staci is a crazy person whose ADD right brain has been responsible for more than one creative project. She started as an artist around 15 years ago and has yet to slow down. She has done everything from hot glue sculptures to covers for religious pamphletes. She began her life as an artist working in mostly pencil and colored pencil. Soon after she was working with acrylic. After several years she moved into oil and watercolor. In between she never lost her zeal for the "something new". Creativity is a way of releasing the imagination dragon. She finds creativity is a way of problem solving and loves to stretch that particular muscle.
Are you selling current work and or are you available for art projects? Read More..
Right now I am only selling current work. However I will also volunteer my time for kids. For example the mural that we did for Comcast Cares Day. I was able to offer several different ideas and offered a mix and match solution. I was able to stay in my creative realm and the school loved the end result.
Why do you paint, draw, do photography and so on? Read More..
Painting, Drawing, and photography are all creative outlets. I can escape into what I'm working on and with. It is a place of peace and passion. Even with children running around and bad news in the media, I can put that all aside when I am working on a piece. Like tuning out. It has, especially with the last two eventful years, given me a way to focus and accomplish specific tasks. There is something about shadowing a line to create a branch that is exciting. Then that branch turns into a tree and then a forest.
My passion comes from being able to create. To create with my hands. Most everything I do is creation with my hands. Being able to feel where the next change should be. Changes from the shadow of the eye of a horse that has to be rubbed a little bit smoother to the strong textures of an Arabians tack. Or the softness of a petal to the sharpness of stone on a cliff. Little details that make or break a work. My creation is creating the beautiful not the dismal. While I think there are great stories and in some cases to create a devastation I don't think that is a norm. I believe there is a time and place for it. My work try's to stay in the path of beauty.
